Awful... Standard travel lodge, clean and ok but poorly staffed and expect to wait ages at the desk... Also very dangerous and bad area. Do not stay here if single woman. Many youths of a yob nature outside and inside lobby late night. Poorly lit car park. Located in a shabby area right next to a huge screwfix and industrial site. If you venture out it is half hour walk to city centre and 40 min walk to SECC hydro. I recommend "home style" - a small pizza /curry place 4 mins walk away. Very cheap. Fresh, clean, very hygienic and delicious. Best pizza, non greasy very tasty. It is also close to a Tesco and World Buffet 5 min walk away from hotel. If bored, it is close to a plaza with cinema, Costa coffee and gym maybe 8 mins walk away.

After a mix up with the room rate (booked via our work hospitality company as travelling for work) the initial receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. The room was ok however missing the basics such as a hair dryer and the overall hotel felt in need of a refresh.
The cost problem was resolved on departure and the second receptionist was far more polite and friendly.
If I was paying the full rate I would have been very disappointed as value for money wasn't great. If you have low expectations of what a hotel should provide then you'll be fine.

Clean, tidy, and the shower was fantastic. Good service, location not too far from town.

Got a nice deal for the night. If you ever want a budget accommodation, that still looks good and has good hygiene standards, then travelodge is for you.

Basic, but fine for a cheap overnight stay. Spotlessly clean and cheerful staff
