Come here on a Sunday night for free Fado and just experience the culinary delights on offer. This is not a great value place, but it is somewhere to soak up the atmosphere, watch the Portuguese and observe life.

Nice, little green oasis in the middle of the city. Madeiran bread freshly made is being served here along with other late afternoon snacks.

It's one of the city's hearts. There is not a huge tourism propaganda but definitely one of the places to visit if you spend more than 24h in the city. You can also take a long walk into to the Avenue that begins here, down to the sea.
